On September 11, 2001, everyone in New York woke up to a beautiful late summer day. The sun was shining, the sky was the bluest of blues, it was Tuesday and the public in general had yet to hear the names “Jeffrey Epstein” or “Leslie Wexner”.
The north tower in Lower Manhattan was struck at 8:46 a.m. Images of the real life horror flooded in from every television channel. It was first described as a small plane mistakenly crashing into one of the Twin Towers. A couple of minutes later at 9:03 a.m. a second commercial plane rammed into the south tower.
It wasn’t an accident.
It was intentional.
And the man who would become known as ‘The Mayor of the World’ – New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani – was front and center. Except he made dozens of mistakes, and then later, lied about them all.
He was part of the Epstein/Wexner nexus. Bet you didn’t know this.
The most controversial of Giuliani’s ill-fated decisions with a direct impact on 9/11 had been put into motion long before that nightmarish day. And, others, as it pertained to the Epstein/Wexner network were never supposed to be seen, known or discovered.
Until now.
Giuliani spent $13 million (this figure changes depending on the source—one claims it was $70 million) to build a 50,000 square foot uber-sophisticated Emergency Operations Center on the 23rd floor of 7 World Trade Center which was completed in 1999. A 1998 confidential New York Police Department analysis shows they opposed Giuliani’s plans to locate its emergency command center at that location but he overrode their objections. The memo read, “Seven World Trade Center is a poor choice for the site of a crucial command center for the top leadership of the City of New York.”
They were right. The facility turned out to be useless on September 11, 2001 resulting in the deaths of many first responders in addition to innumerable civilian casualties.
Wayne Barrett (July 11, 1945 - January 19, 2017) and Daniel Collins (November 11, 1943 – July 9, 2024) two old-time investigative journalists wrote Grand Illusion: The Untold Story of Rudy Giuliani and 9/11 published in 2006. They delve into what really happened as Giuliani appeared on TV throughout the day turning himself into a fake American hero.
Barrett and Collins clearly demonstrate that despite the lessons learned on February 29, 1993 when the van bomb detonated below the North Tower, these lessons were ignored by Giuliani. They believe it was hubris. This author believes it was intentional.
Among the damning pieces of evidence I found after discovering Giuliani was part of the Epstein/Wexner circle was how he fought tirelessly to keep the divide between the city’s Police and Fire Departments. This includes the now well-known fact that the fire department's radios were non-functional. Even the ones Giuliani ordered which were received in March 2001 didn’t work. Meaning the firefighters were using old, non-functioning radios from 1990.
Giuliani was indeed following orders—from his earliest days. Except these came in the form of people much more powerful than he.
